New Jersey shoppers spend thousands of dollars each year on products and with each purchase, they instill a level of trust in the manufactures that their products are safe for families to use and/or digest. Unfortunately, there are times when harmful and defective products enter the market, resulting in the injury and even death of a consumer. The manufacturers are liable for the injuries and fatalities caused by their defective products. Throughout the last two decades, we have seen national product recalls for; vehicles, foods, toys, clothing and everyday products due to contamination or malfunctioning parts. These defective products pose a danger to you and your loved ones. To aid in lessening the risk to our communities, manufactures issue product recalls to alert the public that a dangerous product has been released for purchase and asked that these products be returned and/or exchanged.

There are several organizations, such as, Food and Drug Administration, the SaferProducts.gov and the Consumer Product of Safety Commission who allow the public to search their online databases for a list of recalled and defective products. If you believe that a defective product caused your injury or a family member’s death, please consult a legal professional immediately.
